These items are delivered to Blue Star Recyclers. The organization employs people with disabilities while recycling.

Thrift Items

Clothing, shoes, eyeglasses, books, and housewares are accepted.

Due to size and weight constraints, we cannot accept furniture, tools, lawn equipment and larger individual items over 25 pounds.

These items are delivered to Westside CARES, assisting people experiencing poverty.

Items accepted for MER include these outdoor brands of clothing and footwear as well as camping, ski , and backpacking gear.
MER does not take team sports, exercise, or motorcycle equipment, nor camping fuel.

MER shares a physical space with Pedal Station, and both are owned by Kids on Bikes, a local nonprofit.

All items cycling-related including bikes, cycling apparel and bike parts.

Pedal Station does not accept helmets, dirt bike or motorcycle equipment.

Pedal Station shares a physical space with MER, and both are owned by Kids on Bikes, a local nonprofit.

Accepted paints include latex, oil based, and wood stains in sizes up to 5 gallons.

In partnership with Green Sheen, the paint is recycled and repurposed into new product, or used in the community in fun and creative ways (via Concrete Couch).

In general, we do not take items that go in your normal single stream recycling bin associated with your trash company. Our goal is to take items that are not accepted in your traditional service. So keep using that service for plastic bottles, aluminum cans, cardboard, etc. and follow our acceptable items closely.
